Celine Dion in Calzedonia tights in Paris: get the look
On 3 October Calzedonia tagged the singer: “The moment. The tights.” What she wore outside Le Royal Monceau, why sheer tights carry Ferragamo’s olive croc, and which pair to buy.

Three words and a black heart. On 3 October 2026 Calzedonia’s Instagram profile posted a photo of Celine Dion with the caption “The moment. The tights.”, and in two days the post collected almost three thousand likes. It is the most reliable way there is to know whose tights a star is wearing: the brand says so, rather than someone guessing from a photo.
This article lines up what the singer wore in the days of the post, why sheer tights work with a crocodile-effect suit, and which pair to buy to get the look, with a rule we will always apply: if the product is credited we call it “exact”, if we choose it ourselves we call it “similar”.
Calzedonia’s post
Calzedonia tags the celebrities who wear its tights almost every week: it is a first-hand source, which is why we use it. The post, though, does not name the style. We do not know it either, and we will not make it up: the box at the bottom gives the closest Calzedonia pair by weight and finish, declared as “similar”.
The look of 2 October: Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2027
In the days of the post Celine Dion is living in Paris, where on 12 September she began a 26-concert residency at the Plenitude Arena that runs until May 2027. Every day she leaves Le Royal Monceau, greets the fans waiting outside the hotel, and every exit is a look taken from the runways that have just closed.
On 2 October, as Catherine Kallon wrote on Red Carpet Fashion Awards, the look was Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2027, Maximilian Davis’s collection shown in Milan during the week we covered: an olive crocodile-effect jacket with Gancini closures, the matching skirt, sheer tights and black pumps. The styling is by Annie Horth and Patrick Vimbor, the photo by Andrea Cremascoli for Getty Images. Kallon noted that the outfit, although it comes from a summer collection, “has an autumnal feel, from the olive colour to the crocodile-effect leather”.
Why sheer, and not opaque
The suit already carries two strong things: a material, the embossed crocodile, and a full colour, olive. With opaque tights the leg would have added a third block of colour, and the eye would no longer have known where to stop. Sheer does the opposite: it leaves the leg light, almost absent, so the texture stays the star and the black pump closes the figure at the bottom like a comma.

It is the logic of 15 to 20 denier tights, the ones our denier guide calls the classic: the skin shows, the tights show too, discreetly. Which shade depends on the effect you want. Nude, the leg disappears and jacket and shoes remain. Smoky black, the leg takes on a shadow and the look turns more evening. Both work with an olive suit; black brings the leg closer to the shoe, nude moves it away.
Paris, a wardrobe off the runway
The Ferragamo look is not a one-off. In her portrait of Celine Dion’s Paris style, Ashley Tibbits at The Zoe Report lined up the autumn’s outings: a muted green croc biker jacket by Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann with black culottes and boots, a chocolate-brown Balmain trench with the wraparound sunglasses that have become her signature, a head-to-toe Phoebe Philo look on 26 September, a black velvet gown for the L’Oréal evening.
The day after the Ferragamo, on 3 October, Harper’s Bazaar photographed the Givenchy Spring/Summer 2027 look by Sarah Burton: a sleeveless criss-cross waistcoat with padded shoulders and pointed lapels, black trousers with extra fabric draped from the waist, sunglasses, geometric earrings, pointed heels. A woman who, in the magazine’s words, wears pieces “straight off the runway” while singing 26 nights in an arena: in this wardrobe, tights are the element that holds the pointed shoes and the heavy pieces together.
Shop the look
The box at the bottom of the article lists the products to get the look and, for each one, the match. “Exact” means the product is credited by the brand, the stylist or the press. “Similar” means we chose the alternative ourselves, by colour and denier, and we say so. We never write a brand that is not documented.
For this look the tights are Calzedonia by the brand’s own credit, but with no style named: our “similar” is the Sheer Essentially Invisible 20 denier, 85% polyamide and 15% elastane, with the soft waistband and the seamless construction that does not mark under a fitted skirt. The Ferragamo pieces belong to the Spring/Summer 2027 collection and will reach the shops with the new season: in the meantime, the rule of the look holds with any dark suit that has a texture.
How to get it
- A dark suit with a material. Embossed croc, leather, corduroy: the texture does the work accessories do elsewhere.
- Sheer tights, 15 to 20 denier. Nude to make the leg disappear, smoky black to bring it closer to the shoe. Never opaque: the look gets heavy.
- Black pointed pumps. They are the full stop of the sentence; a coloured shoe would reopen it.
- No other colour. Dark sunglasses, earrings, a black bag or one that matches the suit.
- A spare pair in the bag. Sheer is the most fragile weight: the rules in our denier guide count double on a day of photographs.

The rest is done by the attitude that, in those photos outside the hotel, shows more than any garment: stop, wave, let yourself be looked at. Tights too, when they are the right ones, get noticed for what they let everything else do.
