Calzedonia Autumn/Winter 2026: Lily Allen, Liberty fishnets and lace for the party season

“Own the Narrative. Wear the Tights.” Lily Allen is Calzedonia's new UK ambassador: what is in the collection, what she actually wears every day and on stage, and what it costs.

On 2 October 2026 Calzedonia posted a video with a single line: “Own The Narrative. Wear The Tights.” Lily Allen is the face of the new collection, photographed by Sharna Osborne, styled by Danny Reed, with movement by Mesh Henry. The same day the singer wrote it on her own profile, to two million followers: “@calzedonia girl for A/W 2026”. Within 48 hours the brand had tagged three very different women: Lily Allen on 2 October, Celine Dion and the model Mika Abdalla on the 3rd. This is how tights season opens, with a campaign a day.

One campaign, one line

On Calzedonia's UK site the campaign has a page of its own, “Lily Allen for Calzedonia”. The text explains the idea: in Sharna Osborne's images, by a photographer and videographer, tights stop being a passive wardrobe staple and become a statement of personal style, and Lily Allen is described as a cultural icon who reclaimed her story on her own terms. That is what “Own the Narrative” is about. The singer's last year, from the album West End Girl, released on 24 October 2025, to the tour that has just ended in North America, was told in the first person, unfiltered. Calzedonia builds a slogan and a collection on top of it.

On the same page it is Lily Allen who introduces herself: Calzedonia's UK ambassador for Autumn/Winter 2026, with the new patterns of each season that she calls “sexy, chic and very me”. And she says what she actually wears. Every day, the black sheers of the Second Skin 15 denier and Invisible 20 denier lines; for parties and performing, a classic fishnet, her top choice for the whole tour; and, to be more daring, the matching fishnet floral lace top and tights in the new Liberty print.

It is a useful admission. The campaign sells floral fishnets, but the everyday wardrobe of the woman wearing them is made of black 15 and 20 denier sheers, the simplest product Calzedonia makes. What changes between those two numbers is in our denier guide.

Lily Allen and tights

Lily Allen has twenty years of fashion behind her. She was a Chanel ambassador in the Karl Lagerfeld years, and her performance of Not Fair at the Spring/Summer 2010 show is still quoted. Today her tour is styled by Mel Ottenberg, stylist and editor-in-chief of Interview. In March 2026 she was the face of Intimissimi's Spring/Summer campaign, as Hello! reported: a brand from the same group as Calzedonia, Oniverse, founded in Verona in 1986 by Sandro Veronesi, which counted 5,732 stores in 55 countries in 2025. Going from Intimissimi to Calzedonia within the same year is no accident. It is the group building one face for two brands.

In the Who What Wear UK interview of 1 October 2026, Rebecca Rhys-Evans asked her about tights before fame. The answer is one of her earliest memories: the Catholic school uniform, the tights to put on, both legs pushed into one leg and a fall in the hallway at home. On her favourite pair in the collection she has no doubts: the floral fishnet, which she thinks looks “quite pin-up-y and retro, but also modern”. She adds that she finds tights sexy, that she happily walks around at home in tights and a bra, and that the only problem is that there is no dignified way to get into them. On that last point, readers of this site will agree.

What is in the collection

The campaign page gathers an edit labelled “Lily loves”. These are the pieces the brand attributes to her, with UK prices; where it exists, we put the Italian price alongside.

Two pieces tell the story of the collection better than the others. The first is the Liberty floral fishnet: a small-mesh net carrying a tiny Liberty-style floral, with a matching top in the same pattern. It is Calzedonia's answer to a question that has been around for a year: how do you wear fishnets without looking like a costume? The answer is to add a pattern that turns the net into a fabric. The second is lace and roses: black floral lace with contrasting red roses, an inside leg seam, made in Italy. It is the evening piece, the one Lily Allen points to for parties and the stage when she wants to go further.

Around them sit the classics of the season. The sheer polka dots that were everywhere on the runways last spring, at £15.99. The floral lace with the back seam, €25.95 in Italy. And the rest of the Autumn/Winter 2026-27 collection presented in early September: lace tights, bodysuits, decorative socks and a Party Collection built for the holidays, with a range running from black must-haves to floral and graphic accents and winter socks, as the German magazine Beyond Pixels summed it up. In Italy the new tights campaign page also showcases the ultra-light matt opaques with 7% cashmere at €16.95, a model that mixes modal, polyamide, cashmere and elastane, and the 50 denier Soft Comfort at €7.95.

How to wear them: three looks

The Liberty set under a black blazer. Matching top and tights in the same floral net, a straight black blazer, a black knee-length skirt and a black pump. With the pattern, the net reads as a fabric rather than an effect. Underneath, a nude sheer of 8 to 15 denier, as we explain in the fishnet guide: it evens the skin, adds warmth and stops the mesh marking.

Lace and roses with a black slip dress. One rule only: the red rose must be the only colour. A plain black dress, a black pump or ankle boot, nothing else red. The rose lace also works under a black pencil skirt at the office, as long as the skirt reaches the knee.

Classic fishnets, tour style. Medium mesh, leather shorts and boots, with a cropped cardigan: it is the look Lily Allen described to Who What Wear for the middle section of her show. Off stage it works with denim shorts and a leather jacket, or under ripped jeans.

The mistakes to avoid are the usual ones. Two prints together, floral net and a printed skirt, cancel each other out. A size too small distorts the pattern, and with a floral net it shows immediately. And a wide mesh with a mini skirt and a stiletto takes the look where it does not want to go.

Prices and where to find them

The campaign is British, and the full “Lily loves” edit with prices in pounds sits on the campaign page of the UK site. In Italy the Liberty fishnets, the matching top and the floral lace tights are already online, on the new tights campaign page; the lace and rose tights currently show no price on the Italian site.
