Gatta x Maciej Zień By Night: the tights with Danuta Stenka, collection and prices

Silver tights that shine like lamé, a designer's monogram running down the leg, sheer black tights dotted like a night sky. This is «By Night», the second collection Polish hosiery brand Gatta has made with designer Maciej Zień, on sale since 23 October 2026. The face of the campaign is actress Danuta Stenka, photographed in a theatre and a photo studio.

The campaign: a theatre and an actress

Gatta announced the collection on its blog on 3 September, as the follow-up to «Poem», the first Zień collection, released in November 2025. The story is about a woman who plays «many roles»: that is why, the brand says, it shot the pictures in a theatre and a studio, a nod to acting and to the parts women play every day.

Choosing Stenka, Gatta says, was Zień's idea: the designer had her in mind from the start, for her class and personality. Stenka is one of Poland's best-known actresses, on stage since 1984 and in film since 1995, with two Polish Film Awards, for Chopin: Desire for Love and Katyń.

What is in the collection

The palette, Gatta writes, is black with midnight blue and silver; Zień's Z-Ń monogram is again the main motif, and the novelties are sheer mesh and Italian lace on the bodysuits. There are five pairs of tights, plus bodysuits, sheer leggings, a mesh dress and a bra.

Conversions use the European Central Bank reference rates for 27 October 2026 (€1 = 4.4020 złoty = $1.1150). Gatta does not give the denier of the Galaxy, Jewelry Charms and midnight blue Monogram, nor the fibres of those three.

The Monogram Stripe sums up the collection: shiny silver, 15 denier, and the monogram set vertically like a tuxedo stripe, which lengthens the leg. It is the pair Stenka wears in the photo at the top of this article, with an oversized silver shirt.

The Jewelry Charms is the party pair: opaque, all silver, with a chain design and a scarab, one of Zień's signatures, around one thigh. Gatta pitches it for evenings, Christmas and New Year's Eve. For more embellished tights, see our piece on Chopova Lowena's jewelled tights.

The Galaxy and the Monogram Dust are the sheer black pairs: the first with scattered dots, easier to wear by day (our polka dot tights guide has outfit ideas), the second with the diamond monogram and lurex dots. The midnight blue Monogram is the alternative to black, and the cheapest.

How to wear them: three looks

Silver with black. The Monogram Stripe or the Jewelry Charms under a plain black mini dress with black pumps: the lookbook look. No prints on top, the tights do the work.

Dotted sheers under a long dress. Like Stenka in the campaign: a long black dress with a slit and the Galaxy showing only when you walk. For a dinner or a night at the theatre.

Midnight blue with leather. The midnight blue Monogram with a mini, a black leather jacket and ankle boots, as in the lookbook: the deep blue reads as black from afar and shows up close.

The mistake to avoid: two shiny pieces together. With silver tights, keep the shoes and dress matt.
