Kylie Jenner wears fishnet tights as trousers for KHY After Dark: the look and how to copy it
For her brand's new After Dark collection, launched on 27 October, Kylie Jenner wears the faux-fur Roxy Jacket with fine black fishnet tights and pointed pumps instead of trousers. The tights are not credited.
A fur jacket, a fine black mesh, a pointed pump, and nothing in between. In the campaign for KHY After Dark, the collection her brand launched on 27 October 2026, Kylie Jenner wears the faux-fur Roxy Jacket as the whole outfit, with black fishnet tights where the trousers would be. The tights are the only thing the brand does not sell, and nobody has credited them. Here is the look, why it works and how to wear fishnets as trousers without looking like a costume.
KHY After Dark: the collection
After Dark is the winter collection of KHY, Jenner's clothing label: according to Fashion Times, 16 pieces of outerwear and evening clothes, photographed by Quentin de Briey in the hills of Los Angeles. Jenner announced it on Instagram a few days before the launch ("coming 10.27 on khy.com") with "inspired by the city i call home. late nights in LA and that feeling of getting dressed up with nowhere in particular to go", and wrote on launch day that "LA nights have always been such a big part of my inspiration".
The shoot moves through the city at night: a car above the lights, a bed, a street corner. The fishnet photo is the one KHY uses on the product page of the Roxy Jacket.
The look, top to bottom
- Jacket: the Roxy Jacket in black, by KHY: faux leather and faux fur, 100% polyester according to the brand, $410. Cropped and oversized, with thick brown fur at the collar and in rings along the sleeves, broken by black faux-leather bands. theFashionSpot reported on 28 October that it had already sold out.
- Under it: nothing visible. The jacket covers to the top of the thigh, and below it the legs start straight away.
- Tights: black fishnet with a fine, micro mesh, not the wide diamond of a costume fishnet. From the photo, the skin shows through evenly, which softens the black into a dark grey from a distance.
- Shoes: black pointed pumps with a stiletto heel, closed at the toe and heel. Not credited.
The tights: what we know and what we don't
The brand of the fishnets has not been credited by KHY, by Jenner or by the press: theFashionSpot, Reality Tea and Fashion Times all describe "black fishnet tights" without a name. KHY does not sell hosiery, so they are not part of the collection. What we can say comes from the photo: a small, regular mesh, black, from waist to toe with no visible seams or reinforced toe through the pump.
Jenner has worn named hosiery before: in the Wonderland shoot she wore Wolford tights, and Wolford makes a micro fishnet very close to this one. That is a resemblance, not a credit.
Why it works
Fishnets as trousers usually fail for one reason: the mesh is too wide and the rest of the outfit is too small. Here both are reversed. The mesh is fine, so it reads as texture rather than as a net, and the jacket is huge, so the eye goes to the fur first and to the legs second. The black of the tights runs straight into the black of the pumps, which makes the leg look like one line from hip to heel.
It is also a very old formula made current. Fur and fishnets is a nightclub uniform; with a micro mesh and a closed pump it becomes a winter outfit for a night out.
How to wear fishnets as trousers
- Choose a micro mesh. The smaller the holes, the more polished the result. Wide fishnet works under a skirt; as trousers it looks like fancy dress. Our fishnet guide explains the mesh sizes.
- Put the volume on top. A cropped faux-fur jacket, a long oversized blazer or a big knit that reaches the top of the thigh. A fitted top makes the look much more exposed.
- Match tights and shoes. Black mesh with black pumps or ankle boots, so the leg is one line. Nude or brown shoes cut it in two.
- Add a layer underneath. In real life a black bodysuit or opaque shorts under the fishnets do the work the campaign does with the camera angle.
- Keep the rest dark. One colour story, black and brown here, keeps it evening rather than costume.
The photos
The photo at the top is the campaign image KHY uses on the Roxy Jacket product page; the cover circle is cropped from the same photo. The Instagram post is embedded from Jenner's account. The descriptions of the jacket come from khy.com; the reports on the sell-out and the photographer come from theFashionSpot and Fashion Times (links in the references).
A fur jacket and a fine black mesh: for a night out in winter, that is all the outfit you need, as long as the mesh is small.
