Kylie Jenner's Wonderland shoot: the exact Wolford tights she wore

Kylie Jenner is on the cover of Wonderland's Autumn/Winter 2026 issue, ten years after her first. The shoot came out on 13 October 2026, photographed by Drew Vickers and styled by Carlos Nazario, and one image has been everywhere since: Jenner on a folding chair in the dry grass, in a sheer black Norma Kamali bodysuit and Givenchy thigh-high leather boots. Between the two, for just a few centimetres of thigh, there are tights. And unlike most celebrity tights, these come with a name: Wolford Tummy 20 Control Top, in black.

A love letter, ten years on

Wonderland titled the cover story "A Love Letter to Kylie Jenner". In the magazine's own post the credits are Alastair McKimm as chief creative officer, Carlos Nazario as stylist, Drew Vickers as photographer and Tom George as writer. George's piece, previewed on Wonderland's Substack, reads Jenner as "the first great Gen Z It girl", from the Lip Kits to her clothing label KHY, and goes back to her 2016 Wonderland cover, shot by Richard Kern, when she said: "I'm not Kylie Jenner. That's my alter-ego. I'm Kylie."

Her friends speak in the issue too. Hailey Bieber, Amelia Gray, Devon Lee Carlson and Camila Morrone each wrote a few lines, printed as full pages in the Instagram carousel. Jenner, theFashionSpot reports, reshared the feature with: "Somehow I did not know Wonderland was interviewing my friends and omg I'm cryingggg this is so sweet I love you guys."

The cover itself has no tights: it is an orange mesh Jean Paul Gaultier dress from spring/summer 2001, loaned by Artifact New York, as the caption says.

The look with the tights

The tights are in another image, the fifth in Wonderland's carousel (swipe through the post below). Jenner sits on a green folding chair in a field of dry grass, with a wall of hanging green branches behind her and a can of Diet Coke at her feet. The pieces, as credited by theFashionSpot:

  • Bodysuit: Norma Kamali, sheer black mesh, with spaghetti straps and a neckline that plunges almost to the waist.
  • Boots: Givenchy by Sarah Burton, black leather, high enough to look like leather trousers. theFashionSpot names the style as Shark Pinch.
  • Tights: Wolford Tummy 20 Control Top, black (what a control top is, and where it sits, is in our anatomy of tights).

Look at the photo and the tights barely appear: a dark, see-through band between the edge of the bodysuit and the top of the boots, where Jenner rests her hands. That is precisely why they matter. Without them the gap would be bare skin, and the outfit would read as underwear and boots. With them, bodysuit, tights and boots run into one black line from the shoulders to the ground, with the leg showing through only at the thigh.

The exact pair: Wolford Tummy 20 Control Top

The Tummy 20 is one of Wolford's classic shaping tights. The product page describes it like this:

  • 20 denier, with a matte-translucent finish: a light sheer, where the leg is visible but the black is clearly black.
  • A lace panty that "flattens the stomach", with strong shaping at the tummy and a soft logo waistband.
  • Medium leg support and a reinforced toe for durability.
  • OEKO-TEX Made in Green certification.

On Wolford's site it costs €45, £50 or $70. Besides black it comes in other shades, including the nude-toned Gobi.

Why a control top under a sheer bodysuit? No source quotes the stylist on it, but the photo suggests a reason: a lace panty under transparent mesh is less visible than a seam or a waistband would be, and it keeps the line smooth exactly where the bodysuit ends.

How to wear it now

The Wonderland look is an editorial. Three ideas to take from it:

  • Sheer black and tall boots. A 20 denier tight under over-the-knee boots shows only a strip of leg, and that strip is what lifts the look. With a short skirt or a long shirt-dress it works on the street too. To choose the transparency there is our guide to denier.
  • Matte, not shiny. Next to leather and sheer mesh, a matte tight keeps the textures apart: the shine stays on the boots.
  • The shaping panty under see-through clothes. If your bodysuit, dress or skirt is sheer, a lace control top looks more finished than a plain one.

Wolford keeps turning up on celebrity legs this season: see Olivia Rodrigo's barely-there tights on tour and Kaia Gerber's polka dots. For the brand behind them there is our history of Wolford.

The photos

The two Instagram posts are Wonderland's own, embedded from the magazine's account; the shoot is by Drew Vickers. The product photos come from Wolford's page for the Tummy 20 Control Top. The identification of the tights comes from theFashionSpot, which credits them to stylist Carlos Nazario's look; Wonderland's posts do not list individual garments for this image.
