British Vogue x Calzedonia dinner: Lily Allen, Jade and Paris Jackson in floral tights

On Tuesday 13 October 2026 British Vogue and Calzedonia hosted a dinner at Arlington, the restaurant in St James's, to celebrate Lily Allen, the brand's UK ambassador for Autumn/Winter 2026. At a dinner thrown by a hosiery brand, the legs were the point: Lily Allen, Jade Thirlwall and Paris Jackson all arrived in floral tights, each in a different version. Here is who wore what, which pairs they are and how to bring the idea to an ordinary evening.

Lily Allen: Liberty fishnets under silver Chanel

Lily Allen posted the evening herself, with a short caption: "thank you @britishvogue & my @calzedonia family!". The first image says everything about the campaign: she leans against a London black cab wrapped in pink, with "LILY ALLEN" on the door and a Calzedonia ad on the side showing her own legs in fishnets.

According to Page Six, the look was built on two pieces from her own campaign: the Calzedonia Liberty Floral Mesh Top and the matching Liberty Floral Fishnet Tights, worn together so they read as a single catsuit. Over them, an embellished metal mesh Chanel jacket in silver with multicoloured trim, a Chanel croc-embossed vanity bag and Christian Louboutin patent heels. Under the sheer top, a black bra and high-waisted briefs.

In the photos at the restaurant door the tights show their pattern clearly: large black flowers and curling stems on a fishnet base, from the hips to the ankles. Asked by British Vogue what makes great style, Allen answered, as Page Six reports: "It's all about confidence, and comfort."

The tights are the same Liberty print we described when the campaign launched: Calzedonia lists them in the Deluxe Selection capsule, at £24.99 in the UK and €19.95 in Italy, with a soft waistband and a flat toe seam. Jade Thirlwall: sheer brown florals with a chocolate slip

Jade Thirlwall, who commented "Look at you" under Allen's post, is beside her in the fourth image. CelebMafia describes her outfit: a short, glossy chocolate-brown slip dress with grey-brown lace at the bust, an oversized black double-breasted blazer worn over the shoulders, a burgundy shoulder bag and dark pointed shoes. The tights are Calzedonia sheer brown florals: a translucent brown base with darker flowers running down the leg.

It is the most wearable take of the evening. Brown on brown, the tights pick up the dress colour and the pattern only appears up close, so the leg looks warm rather than decorated.

No source names her exact model. In Calzedonia's current range the closest is the Floral Sheer Tights: 40 denier tulle with an all-over floral pattern, a cotton gusset and an invisible toe, in a nude-brown shade. We list them as a similar pair, not the same one.

Paris Jackson: black floral lace with all black

Paris Jackson went the other way. According to CelebMafia she wore a fitted long-sleeved black top with a high neck and a short black bottom, so the tights did all the talking: Calzedonia black floral lace with large flowers, curling stems and finer net between them. The only other accent was a dark green handbag shaped like a stylised face, with jewelled eyes and metallic lips.

Black lace with a black top makes the leg the focus. If you want the same effect, Calzedonia's Floral Lace Tights (£29.99 when the collection launched) are the closest pair we know; again, a similar model, not a confirmed one.

The pink taxi and the dress code

The taxi is not a detail. Calzedonia had already put tights on a cab in New York, with the leggy taxi of The Stoop pop-up; in London it painted one pink with Allen's name on it and parked it outside the dinner. The campaign line, "Own the Narrative. Wear the Tights.", turned into a real dress code: the guests in Allen's carousel almost all wear patterned or lace tights, some in full lace catsuits. Allen herself is about to leave again: the West End Girl tour resumes in Auckland on 21 October, then Australia.

How to wear floral tights now

Three ideas from the dinner, from the safest to the boldest:

• Floral in the dress colour (Jade). A sheer floral in brown or nude, with a dress in the same shade. The pattern stays subtle, the leg looks finished. A good first floral tight.
• Black lace with plain black (Paris). A simple black top and skirt, black floral lace tights, pointed shoes. The leg becomes the outfit. More ideas in our guide to lace tights.

Shop the look: what is exact and what is similar

Only Lily Allen's pair is confirmed: the Liberty Floral Fishnet Tights, with the matching top, are credited by Page Six. Jade Thirlwall's and Paris Jackson's tights are credited only as "Calzedonia hosiery", without a model name, so everything below them in the box is a similar pair, not the one they wore.

• For Paris Jackson's look: the black Floral Lace Tights, the closest to her large flowers on fine net.
• For Jade Thirlwall's look: the Floral Lace Tights in Coffee Brown. The sheer Floral Sheer Tights were nearer to her translucent base, but on 18 October they were out of stock on Calzedonia UK.
• The rest of the line: the same floral lace comes in dark red and blue, the burgundy and navy that Heidi Klum wears in Calzedonia's autumn campaign, which FashionUnited describes as floral lace and fishnet tights in burgundy, dark blue and brown.
