Marie Adam-Leenaerdt spring/summer 2027: lace-top stockings through the slit, look by look
In Marie Adam-Leenaerdt's imaginary supermarket, deep-slit skirts show a single stockinged leg with the lace top on display: 6 of 49 looks.
Marie Adam-Leenaerdt showed her spring/summer 2027 collection in Paris on Tuesday 29 September 2026, her first since winning the grand prize at the ANDAM Fashion Awards, as WWD notes. In the gallery WWD published with images courtesy of the brand, we count 49 looks, and in 6 of them the legs are in hosiery: 5 lace-top stockings showing through the slit of the skirt, 3 of them with the suspenders on show, and one pair of white tights. WWD's review puts it in one line: "deep-slit skirts showed off a single stockinged leg". We went through the looks one by one, in the order they walked.
The collection: a supermarket that is too chic
According to Alex Wynne in WWD, the Belgian designer staged her darkened venue as a fanciful supermarket, "somewhere between a couture salon and a place to shop", with strange fruit and vegetable sculptures on pedestals and in refrigerators in the background. She summed up the collection as "a bit too chic for the supermarket, too chic for the market, too chic to go to the football, but super-easy chic". She spoke of "a bit of lightness, always with a conceptual aspect of easy chic"; the show also included the label's first pieces for men.
WWD describes oversized, crinkly taffeta suiting, padded jackets, belted cardigan coats and dresses with mini-hoops on the hips. Achtung notes that Adam-Leenaerdt even designed a shopping trolley to go with some of the outfits: in the photos several models pull one.
White stockings with suspenders: looks 9 and 34
The most visible stockings are white and sheer, with a white lace top high on the thigh and the suspender clip on show. In look 9 they come out of a lilac satin skirt open at the front, under an oversized beige jacket, with soft white pumps; in look 34 out of a slit plum taffeta skirt, under a camel jumper, with the same white shoes.

White tights and a white gown: looks 10 and 35
Look 10 is the only one with full tights: white, almost opaque, under an asymmetric beige check skirt and an ivory jacket, with white pumps. In look 35 the white lace-top stocking returns under a long sleeveless white gown with a slit, again with white shoes.

Black stockings: looks 28 and 47
The black version is darker and sheerer. In look 28, the photo at the top, a sheer black lace-top stocking shows through the slit of a black skirt, under an oversized black jacket, with brown pumps. In look 47 the same black stocking, with suspenders, comes out of a black satin skirt under a long white cardigan, with black pumps.
In every look with stockings the shoe matches the stocking or comes close, and it is a low pump. In looks 25, 29 and 43 the legs have a sheen that could be sheer nude tights, but the photos do not settle it and we did not count them.
How to read these legs now
No source gives the yarn or the denier. Three practical points:
- The lace top only shows with a slit. Adam-Leenaerdt lets one leg show, and the lace-top stocking becomes a deliberate detail. With a long skirt and a high slit a hold-up with a deep lace top is enough; for a shorter sheer stocking, see Dolce&Gabbana.
- White with white. White stocking, white shoe: the leg stays one line. It is a seasonal idea at Jil Sander, with white stirrup stockings too.
- Sheer black under black. In looks 28 and 47 the sheer black stocking sits under black skirts: the lace top is the only thing that stands out.

The photos
The numbering follows the WWD gallery of Marie Adam-Leenaerdt spring/summer 2027, 49 images credited as courtesy of the brand; look 1 is the black outfit with sandals and look 49 the black outfit with wide trousers. The photos in this article are from that gallery, with credit, and the look numbers are the gallery's. The count of 6 (5 lace-top stockings, one pair of tights) is ours, from the photos.
